Fish For A Cure

Reel Women on Albert C

A few years ago a casual Chesapeake Bay fishing tournament was created among friends and business colleagues. It later evolved into a serious fundraiser after one of the tournament angler's wife was diagnosed with cancer. Following her diagnosis, Fish For a Cure was born and with it, a mission to help those in the community battling cancer.

As a lifetime Chesapeake Bay fisherman, I am both excited and honored to join Fish4AC to support cancer patient programs at our hometown hospital, Anne Arundel Medical Center. The Geaton & JoAnn DeCesaris Cancer Institute and the AAMC Breast Center in Annapolis are nationally recognized for their outstanding care, research and comprehensive programs. They offer kind, sensitive, and tailored breast disease treatment and care for women. With their highly experienced breast specialists and specialty trained staff plus state-of-the-art facilities, this breast center is dedicated to giving new hope and good health.

I am incredibly impressed by the work they are doing in our community.

To support their efforts, this year OUR TEAM IS BACK! Our team of all women anglers (Reel Women) have again joined the Fish4AC’s Captain’s Challenge and Tournament being held on November 3, 2018. I am confident my team…Sarah Sample, Vicky Brunt, & Kerie Bennett will AGAIN fish competitively to earn top angling honors while trying to raise enough money to EXCEED last year's effort and raise more than $17,000 and finish as a one of the top fundraising boats in the tournament.

Will you help support Reel Women on Albert C during the 2018 tournament? Minimum sponsor support is $25, however we really appreciate all donations, especially those of $100 or more (because our team really wants to finish at the top of the leaderboard). And yes, your pledge is 100% tax deductible, F4AC is a 501 (c)3 charity with funds going directly to AAMC’s Cancer Institute.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and your support with a generous donation.
